Back to School!

We are delighted to report that our ‘Champions for Change’ schools programme is back in full swing after a period of Covid enforced hibernation.

St Ninans Pupils welcome Nil by Mouth back to school.

Through the programme we deliver free workshops, activities and presentations to primary and high schools across Scotland looking at the reasons why sectarian prejudice exists, how we can identify and address it in society and the ways young people can build bridges higher than walls.

We also provide free teaching resources, lesson plans and CPD sessions to help teachers better understand this complex issue.

In the last seven days we have worked with more than 100 pupils at St Ninians PS in South Lanarkshire and both Holy Family and Mossend Primaries in North Lanarkshire. We are happy to comply with school Covid protocols and can deliver sessions both in class and outside in the playground.

Since its launch in 2011 more than 15,000 pupils from hundreds of schools across more than 20 local authorities have participated in the programme and this year we will also be offering our free ‘Neeps and Tatties; resource to primary schools from the 29th November including a special event in Book Week Scotland. Stay Tuned for more info!
